Shine a Light on Animal Rescue and Healing

Kanali’s Cause was born out of a promise. A promise to speak out against animal cruelty and to honor the legacy of Kanali and her pasture mate, Catori. Though Kanali’s life was tragically cut short, her name, meaning “Sun,” continues to shine as a beacon of light. Her spirit fuels our work and reminds us why compassion, care, and protection for animals matter so deeply.

At Solstice Sanctuary, we carry forward that light. Our mission is to be a place where humans and animals heal together. Our focus is to provide our community with safety, connection, and renewal. The animals who arrive at our Sanctuary have endured hardship and trauma. Through the restorative power of the land and the resilience of their spirits, they begin to heal and in turn, they help people heal too.
