The Sponsor a Sanctuary Resident program allows our advocates to make monthly or one-time contributions to help care for rescued animals at the Sanctuary. Your support enables Solstice Sanctuary to continue its lifesaving work in rescue, rehabilitation, and education, providing our residents with a safe haven.

What Does My Sponsorship Support?
As a sponsor, you support the Sanctuary residents’ monthly care expenses. These include nutritional programs and feed, shelter and bedding, farrier appointments (hoof trimming), and routine veterinary and dental care. Since many of our residents suffered from severe neglect before the Sanctuary, they may incur additional costly veterinary care outside the monthly expenses covered by this program.
What Does A Sponsor Receive?
A certificate of sponsorship, a detailed biography, and a framed photo of the Sanctuary resident you’ve chosen to sponsor. You also have the opportunity to come and visit your chosen animal on scheduled dates and on the email list to be notified of special events at the Sanctuary.
Annual Resident Sponsors receive the above benefits plus custom sponsorship gear and acknowledgment on our website with their family name or business logo and through social media posts (our pages have over 70K followers!).
Who Can Be A Sponsor?
Anyone or any organization can become a sponsor. This includes individuals, families, couples, businesses, school groups, and community organizations!
Are There Multiple Sponsors For One Animal?
At Solstice Sanctuary, we often rescue animals from situations of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. Many of these animals have special care needs, with high and sometimes unexpected care expenses. To fund the care of these animals, we rely on the generosity of multiple sponsors to support the residents. All funds directed towards sponsorships go towards the care of Sanctuary residents.
Do Sponsorships Make Great Gifts?
Sponsoring a Sanctuary Resident for a friend or family member is a unique way to spread compassion and awareness with others! Just enter the shipping information for your gift recipient in the additional field, and we’ll take care of the rest! Your gift recipient will receive the sponsorship certificate.
What Happens If A Sponsored Animal Leaves the Sanctuary?
Whether the animal is a permanent resident of Solstice Sanctuary or an animal that needs a soft place to land and heal, they all deserve the most exceptional and loving care. If the sponsored animal leaves the Sanctuary (in the case of adoption or death), the remaining funds will be distributed to the care of other Sanctuary residents. If you are a monthly or annual sponsor, we will contact you directly to discuss the next steps in either reassignment or closing the sponsorship.
